My second term involved collaborating with LUSH cosmetics to create a ‘Chill Pill’ gift box for individuals dealing with anxiety, stress, and low self-esteem. I researched how LUSH’s vibrant, colorful packaging could support mental wellness. The toolkit I designed includes breathing exercises, beginner-friendly reflexology guides, and an EFT tapping ritual, with each product paired to guided activities on a deck of cards. The design features a bright gradient with swirling patterns to evoke calm, while hands wrapping the box symbolise a comforting hug, which connects to the title ‘Handle with Care.’ I generated a QR code that links to a soothing playlist, and the reusable poster, stickers, and cards offer lasting value for daily self care.

This brief allowed me to work with design teams from four professional firms (Foil.co, G.F Smith, LUSH, and Dayfold), giving me the opportunity to present with real clients. Pitching early concepts to LUSH’s Creative Director was nerve wracking but invaluable for building my confidence and communication skills. This pushed me outside my comfort zone, teaching me that as a designer, staying comfortable limits growth.
